STEP 2: ON ROAD COMPONENT

Course Description

The Motorsport Academy On road Training program is the second element to be completed for the nationally accredited unit TLIC0031 Apply low risk car driving behaviours. This full day program is conducted on public roads and is designed to set you up for repeatable foundations that are imperative in rallying and /or racing.  Once you have mastered these foundations, you will then have the ability to apply these skills at high speeds in the Track Day program. Your instructor for the day, will empower you to achieve a solid set of foundation skills required for ‘high end’ driving. These skills include setting optimal seating and steering positions, ideal strategies for cornering, stability, vision and planning. Rallying and racing are high-risk sports that require a high level of focus and concentration, combined with the skills, knowledge and attitude for success. By the end of the day, you are amalgamating all the skills, planning and thought processes required for this demanding ,yet satisfying sport. In addition, we cover off driving a rally car on public roads in a sound manner that won’t attract unwanted attention. Whatever your current skill level, your instructor will be able to improve and fine tune your skill set. Motorsport Academy have contextualised this unit to motorsport and special stage rally training purposes, building on our experience of running similar motorsport courses for 25 years and as per industry consultation.
